Breaking Car Windows.

Recently in my neighborhood someone has been going around and breaking car windows of cars that are parked in the street. Yesterday my camaro was parked out on the street up until about 630 when i left home. i got a call at 7 from my dad saying that 3 cars down my street including one that was parked where my camaro was parked, had broken windows, yet nothing was stolen. SO frustrating. People have no respect. We all pay and work hard for our things and the world has come to the point where we cant even park our cars in the street in our neighborhood in broad daylight. Ive seen people egging cars and such but breaking windows? really?

anything like this around any of you guys?

Not sure what state your in but NC has the new "Castle Doctrine Law" that allows you to shoot a intruder breaking into your car, fence or your house, I'm just saying, I'm sponsored by FNUSA.

this happened on halloween night at my house a few years ago. This was my dad's truck parked in my driveway.. at about 9:30PM.

This was the first and LAST time my house has candy.

The people breaking windows in your neighborhood are probably teenagers. Teenagers are usually the scum of the earth and respect nothing.

makes me wonder if I respected anything when I was a teen.. I don't remember breaking anyone's property or vandalizing things like this..

Vandals are cowards. They tend to keep doing it until they are A. caught or B. confronted.

See if you can organize a neighborhood watch, or maybe setup a homebrew survellieance system.

Both act as a good deterent, as these punks will notice the increased security and move on to be idiots somewhere else. Or, if they are too stupid to risk it, you can catch their asses and have some sweet justice.

Probably a teenager. Wait outside with a bat for them to break your window then break their legs . You know, so they can't run from the cops lol.

What a 'civilized' idea. I suppose there should be snipers in grocery stores to 'prevent' shoplifting.

Ahhh the good old days....150 years ago someone called you a bad name you went out on the street had a draw, the loser goes away in a pine box, no harm, no foul. 50 years ago someone tries to rob you or vandelize your property you shoot them or bea tthe piss out them and the Cops pat you on the back and say thanks, today if you so much as leave a bruise on robber or vandel its likely going to be yougetting sued or jailed. As much as I'd like to go along with recommending the stuff that has been said above, I think its best to lock your stuff up and report anything you can that you see. It sucks but this is the world we as a society have created. I live on a back road and have an alarm system and...ample firearms but I'd be hesitant to fire on someone outside of the house. We have had some break-ins in the area but nothing like the OP described. Sounds like some young punks. We've had a rash of the old mailbox drive-by's with the ball-bat a few times.
