Can you write him a ticket for being an idiot?
![]() I don't believe GM has ever built a V-10 engine. I think there were some rumors of a V-10 being designed for trucks (like the 2500 and 3500 series pickups) but I think that was scrapped several years ago. From 1930 to 1937, Cadillac produced a V12. And from 1931 to 1944 GM produced an Allison V12 for aviation. Also, from 1960 to 1966, GMC produced a V12 which was actually two V6 engines placed end-to-end. Also, from 1930 to 1940 Cadillac produced two different versions of a V16. And, amazingly, from 1937 to 1944 GM's Allison division produced a W24 (Two V-12 engines side-by-side) for aviation purposes. But I can't find anything on any GM subsidiary ever producing a V-10 engine. So, effectively, the guy you talked to is full of manure. He should be cited for perjury.
