94 Dodge ram single cab 318 motor. Drove it til the wheels fell off. Literally.
Interior....absolute garbage. Motor ect. Bulletproof.

2000 ram 2500 dually. Once again bunk ass interior but strong motor and tranny. Never a problem.

2002 dodge ram ecrb 360 motor. Bought with 24k on clock. Window motor driver side went out. Latch on sliding glass broke the first times used it. Arm rest was already caved in because the cardboard under filament is paper mâché thin. C clip broke off valve body & threw code. Took to dealership as it wouldn't shift out of 1st and told I needed new transmission. I went home Hooked up obd scanner and turns out it was the speed governor sensor. $60 + $120 labor and back on the road. Various other interior fails...sagging headliner, two broken visor clips. Driver side broke the day I bought it. Absolute lemon.

2004 2500 ram ecrb. Tranny out 19k. Tranny out 36k sold.

2006 2500 ram eclb. Tranny slipping at 46k....bought at 29k sold.

2008 2500 HD Silverado. Bought with 23k bone stock. Put this truck threw absolute hell and back pushing a couple hundred hp over the tranny rating only limping it once. 68k on the clock now. Replaced 1 glow plug at 59k. Never seen the repair shop.

Best truck I've ever owned. My dad was a lifelong dodge man and I grew up being the same way. Can easily say I'll never go back. The best thing the hd series with dodge was the ho 5.9 cummins motor. Now that they have the 6.7. Oh hell naw. Jmuo.

I hate ford but on our farm trucks it was always the OLD fords and Chevys that lasted. Hell I still put out hay in a ooooold ford with a 3 spd. Damn thing won't die.

It's all different experiences, i see my brothers CTS problems and think why would I buy a Chevy if they can't even get a 50k Caddy right? As far as interiors, what they are using now have put them from the bottom to near the top, MAJOR improvements. it does seem everything made during the "Daimler Chrysler" years took a dip in quality compared to before and now after. BTW, GM had some of the worst interiors until the last few years also, My Grand Prix, my parents regal both have wonderful dissentigrating interiors and my brother's CTS even has it's own issues.

Gotta love an Allison transmission, that was really a great choice by GM. The newer Chrysler trannies seem more on par with the rest of the feld, as do GM transmissions. THe old 4L50e and 4l80e were pretty well as big a pil of garbage as the Ram trannies. My GTP lost overdrive gear and the transmission on my Parents Lumina just plain out gave out and their regal clunks between gears istead of shifting. My dear old Fleetwood was lso starting to give up the transmission ghost when i sold it. That said the old 4R70W and AODs from Ford were just as bad too. The one in my 97 Vic PI had been rebuilt 2 times from what I found in the glovebox and was starting to go again when I sold it. Is it any wonder the big 3 ended up in the stuff they did?

And since you insist it isn't true, I'll leave this thread with a link to allpar, discussing the MB tranny used in dodge cars and ram trucks. I think it's funny, because I was actually saying I would buy a ram over an F150.

Sheesh...

We all know the lx platform uses MB parts. The transmission is a NAG1. One of my best friends is the owner of southern hotrod., the #1 seller of built NAG1's that hold over 1000rwtq in the WORLD. Trush me ive seen and touched every part inside that transmission.

You said the RAM had MB parts which is totally false! There has NEVER been a NAG1 in a ram. Period.

Allpar has it wrong.

Read post #3.

Our farm trucks are all GMCs. 2002 GMC Sierra 3500 Duramax flat bed, 2007 GMC 3500 Duramax dually, and 2005 GMC Sierra crew cab short bed 4x4 Duramax. All good trucks with crappy speedo' gauge shields that cracked for some reason, not on the 2007 so far. We also have a 2007 Ram 2500 Cummins 4x4 megacab which is my dad's personal vehicle/ ranching truck. I have a 2004 Ram 1500 Hemi Sport 4x4 and my Camaro.

Absolutely no Fords, not even little white Ford rangers for our ranch hands. They get to drive the 1992 Chevy 1/2 ton W/T long bed 4x2 w/ v6 to run airons. (This one is kinda a pos with over 200k miles).

I think nice Camaros....not Cudas. Cuda was a Plymouth not a Dodge. Plymouth is dead so let the Cuda also rest in peace. Dodge has the Challenger let them work with what they have. A Dodge Cuda is just confusing.

2 surburbans and both ran 250,000 miles and still ran when we sold them.

Also, your profile has troll written all over it...
My mom had a Toyota Camry that she couldnt get a good 75k miles out of. It stayed in the shop so much she sold it.

Speaking of Quality problems on Challengers my mom has a 10 challenger RT with less than 10k miles on she has a short trip to work. Its a auto have already had to replace window trim twice it cracked in the middle. Then the diff started Leaking of course fixed under warranty but with a car that is not driven hard and not many miles that is unnaceptable reliability and if u read the reports from JD power and acc. Dodge chryler jeep and ram are all at the bottom of the list for reliability.

If you want to talk about reliability issues we can always talk BMW.
