Ya they have to be same day to get a real idea.
Same day, same track, (willow springs), the gt500 was about 6/10th faster per lap faster than the boss. That's a short track so. The video is on YouTube. They later tested the gt500 against the z06 and gtr. In those tests, it was labeled as having less than stellar braking and a diff that couldn't put the power down. They also said its high speed prowess wasn't confidence inspiring. The new changes will make for a handling car that will be just as impressive if not more so than the acceleration times. -huge braking improvement -new diff -new gearing to better manage torque production -sophisticated traction control -recalibrated suspension settings for more front end bite and grip -double adjustable shocks -carbon driveshaft -lighter wheels -aero improvements for down force -underbody aero channeling -high speed confidence inspiring suspension adjustments -etc etc etc. -oh, 112 (underrated) more hp. The old car wasn't slow either, all of these improvements are gonna equate to seconds of improvement on willow springs, probably 2-3 seconds. They are completely different cars now. They had their bench marks and knew what they had to do. Just like acceleration performance, ford hasn't talked a high talk, they will let the performance talk once again.

According to The Wall Street Journal, the next Mustang will adopt many of the styling cues found on the new Fusion in a bid to attract younger buyers. Those that have seen the 2015 Mustang say it looks nearly identical to the Evos concept and has a distinct Aston Martin flair to it. Although the Mustang is in line for a major overhaul, it will retain a few of its current design cues. Those in-the-know say the car new will keep its shark-nosed grille and round headlights. No word on what engines might power the 2015 Mustang, but we’ve heard both turbocharged four and six-cylinder engines could be on tap.
