I have to deal with age discrimination every time I apply for a job. I have been told multiple times when I put in for a different position or job that I lack "experience", then they hire someone with no experience in the industry at all. This has happend to me 3 times now. Hell I was once told I didn't have enough experience dealing with municipalities to take a certain position, all the while I was youngest person ever elected to city council where I live.

My guess would be the other people that got hired over you had degrees?

it's so stupid how companies are. look how they get rid of people over 55. and those are the people that are the most loyal and don't change jobs and need to hang onto them for several more years.
