I know there are other groups that actually DO get paid and get raises - for some reason we are just ignored

And of course, the "pot" to go around gets smaller every year and now we have a few new people on our team who came in making more then the rest of us - so my mamager will pamper them and give them the best %'s (which amounts to less money for the rest of us). So sometimes it does not pay to work your butt off here - no one notices...

Well they were in another group here that gets paid more then we do to start (it's expected, but at the same time - we review legal documents and mitigate risk for the company all day long - and people who print out pension calculations from a computer program make more then us -- ?? NO LOGIC) but it's aggrivating b/c they don't do as much work, get paid more, and my manager is like in LOVE with the one girl who asks ME to help her on HER work all the time and it's not even a process I know - HELLO!! WTF?

I've just outlived this job years ago and couldn't move out of it because its a black hole - but this bitch has her papers now and I'll be damned if I get stuck here paying off a degree I'm not going to use!

When I read that I was like - THAT is what I am going for

I had to get my degree first - but now I can find a job that's a career and not just a check

(it sure helps when you like your job AND you get paid for it though )

I love both my jobs and make enough money for Jewel and I. I wish I was able to save more, but it is what it is. Sometimes it takes a few bad things to happen in your life to realize all the good this is going on around you.
