Good point.

I am a bowler and I remember noticing that the best bowlers were the cool guys at the bowling alley. I mean rockstars. Popular and had people hanging around them.

Then we'd go to a club..................

WAY different. Even their personalities would change. All of a sudden they were wimps.

It's kind of funny really.

I think it's the same kind of principle when someone who may not be real high on the physical attractive scale but their personality makes them way higher.

Or someone who is a super hotty and their personality is a big fat turn off and makes them unattractive.

In this case it's when you take them out of their comfort element or remove that familiarity it changes their perception.

If that makes sense.

My God, am I the only person who bought this car because of being a genuine car enthusiasts that has a passion for GM muscle?

From what this thread (and 99.9% of others indicate), people bought a 5th gen camaro:

1. To get attention on the road (specifically, the opposite sex) and talk about these minor occurrences every chance they get.

2. To be a part of the super cool social/facebook club known as camaro5.com

3. They have the "OOOOH, SHINEY!" complex/syndrome and wanted whatever the cool kids drive noawadays.

4. So they can have an elitist attitude cuz they paid $30k+ for a car that they don't want anyone else to park near or come within 10 feet of.

5. To have a car where they can hand a vendor a wad of cash and say, "do this" instead of learning to turn a wrench themselves.

Get a grip.

My wife jokes that my car is a man-magnet. I only get guys coming over to oogle.

No love from women, but there is more to life than being really really really good looking.

But none of them are as cool as MY Florida based Camaro. :laugh above: Ok, maybe I am a little biased about mine, lol!

This car is definately a "chick magnet" if your a guy lol. I get alot of them that pull up next to me and start eyeing the car until I roll down the tinted window. Then I get a dirty look for either not being a hot guy or for being in the passenger seat while the hot guy is driving it.

This was all harmless flirting, if you want to see some true leg humping go visit LS1.com. The ratio is probably 10 men for every one woman. Anytime a girl posts they get bombarded with faux compliments and requests for pictures. While this site seems to be more male dominated, I think the people that can afford these cars tend to be a bit more mature. Myself being the exception. I am far from mature. Therefore, I shall commence flirting with the Arkansas girl and the girl with the high heels and tatoo on her ankle.

10 years ago the only people who bought F-Body cars were true enthusiasts...and the Mustang (by itself) outsold both F-body cars. AND the F-Body disappeared for 8 years. So I don't give an eff why a person buys a Camaro...as long as they buy one...which will ensure that there will be more Camaros in the future.
