I had the dealer spray and clear mine. That's what I'd recommend you do. It was only $125 and it looks AMAZING, with color matched GM paint and clear; professionally done. I stripped the cloth off and the glue with lacquer thinner then just gave it to the dealer.

hey! good morning!

if it were me, i would paint myself. i did mine on the v6. it's not hard. i got my paint from automotivetouchup.com because i wanted an exact match to synergy green. got it in an aerosal can. if you can afford it, i would go with a pro shop.

Just make sure to use duplicator stuff

Adhesion promoter
Primer
Paint
Clear
It won't look as good this way; at least not in my opinion... No matter how good you are unless you have the professional tools, getting the dealer to do it is the way to go-- well worth the cost and time saved.

Paint alone for three cans will be $25, another 20-30 for adhesion promoter and a couple cans of clear, plus the time spent doing it.

Triple blue! Blue on blue on blue!

Gracie, if you DO do it yourself, use Duplicolor adhesion promoter, paint and clear. It'll look the best.

Thanks everyone!! I'll call the dealer first and find out how much they would charge to do it for me. I'll have to pull off the dash trim and strip those since all I'm getting is his door panels. If not, then I'll take y'alls info and do it myself. It would be easier to let someone else do it though. I haz no time!!

Getting the glue off is pretty time-consuming; lacquer thinner really helps. That stuff sucks.

BBOOOO!!!!

Hopefully it won't take too long since I only have to do the dash trim pieces.

now does the dealer do it, or do they give it to a local shop they use? I would call around some paint/body shops and see if you can get better pricing.

and the dash trim is VERY easy to take off. just need a flathead and carefully pry one end off, and just pull off the rest of the way.

My dealer has their own body shop so they did it themselves. If they farm it out, Gracie, then just check around local shops. Shouldn't cost too much.

Here are my panels:
