Bragging about selling and trading in 4-5 vehicles in the past 1 1/2 - 2 years should give everyone a thought on how he thinks about cars. The OP is just the type of person that is never happy with what he got and is always looking for something different, it has nothing to do with one vehicle or the other.

Give him 6 months to a year and the op will be back on here saying how much he hates a certain thing about the Mustang and he sold or traded it in for something else. No one should take it one way or another that he traded the Camaro in.

I have a uncle who is the same way. I only see him 3-4 times a year and every time I do he has a different vehicle.

Congrats on the swap. So funny to see anyone trying to even slightly rationalize the paint on 5th Gens. It's horrible. Hands down, it's crap. Maybe honesty will get GM to fix them instead of denial and the quality stays like rustoleum, there's an idea! maybe rustoleum would have been better. I didnt buy a brand new car to repaint it because the manufacturer dropped the ball. Thats bullshit and indefensible.

Well maybe if the paint was better I would have had the car longer and so what I have had several cars in the past few yours don't hate if you can't do the same and besides that's my problem if I'm upside down or not ? The point of this post is if you pay almost $40,000 for a new car it should be right from the start and not have to repaint it a year from now.

i owned a black 05 GT mustang, after one year, front end chipped to heck. after that i owned an 07 GT mustang, took zero chances and put a clear bra on it.

did the same with my 11 SS. i just don't trust the paint on any new car; clear bra always

...

Reading comprehension. Most of us learned it in elementary school.

Read that post again and make sure you comprehend what is being said before you open your mouth next time. Then maybe you won't make yourself look like a fool like you just did with this post.

Ok guys lets be civil. Here's my 2 cents. I have an 08' Avalanche and got a nasty chip on the hood the first day I had it. Within the next 2-3 months I noticed a few small chips on different areas of the truck. I simply went to my dealer and purchased some touch up paint and the rest is history. I never thought about trading the truck in because it's what I wanted and even with it's imperfections I still love to drive it, and it looks way better than any other truck that I was thinking of buying in MY opinion. When I get my Camaro I will get a clear bra but I still expect to see a few chips here and there. I can't say I could care less but I like the retro look of the car and I like the interior so a few chips won't deter me. I still think it's 40k well spent because the car will make ME happy. To the OP... if the 5.0 makes you happy then enjoy. It's not everybodys cup of tea including me but so what. Drive the hell out of it and get your money's worth.

if you get the clearbra get the rear fenders done where the three slits are -- there is a piece in the kit for that
