Update of Frustration

I returned the parts to Street and Performance and they arrived without any damage. I talked with an employee and they said they got it and he told me the amount of refund I could be expecting but said once it was processed the ladies in the office would take care of it.

So I waited a couple of days for the paperwork to get finished and called back. The lady informed me that the owner would be handling it and that he would call me.....Now remeber I have a voice mail from a couple of days earlier giving me an estimated refund price.

So this idiot owner calls me and tells me he is not giving me any money back, that all he was willing to do is to give me 1/2 of what I was told in store credit..?????WTF. He told me that he wasn't in teh business of buying part just selling parts.

I explained to him that he does accept returns because there is a form on his website that has to be filled out. Basically he told me that was all he was gonna do and hung up.

At this point he still has the parts and is unwilling to refund my money.

At this point the only recourse I have is to write the Attorney General of Arkansas and the Better Business Bureau which I have already done....but this is just a joke. I told him in an e-mail if he didn't resolve this issue that I would also file a complaint with the FBI's internet crimes division so we will see what he does.


I did receive my new intake for the new fuel injection and have sent it off to get coated to a place in Tennessee....It is a bright coated finish...kinda like Endurashine that Edelbrock does...it isn't chrome but it should do ok.

The throttle body and fuel rails are on order. The company makes throttle bodies and does not have them laying around so that will take 2 weeks for them to produce it. Intake should be back next week sometime so hopefully soon it will run.

I am scheduled to go on a fishing trip June 7-11 and Matt said he would have it running when I got back home...so we will see.......

Yes we will......I guess in reality that is the last screwing I can get on the truck.

Matt, bless his heart, told me yesterday that he was gonna make it run right if it killed him.

Before I sent the intake off to be coated Matt port matched the intake to the gasket and kinda ported the intake to make it smooth.

We are using a race set up type fuel injection so I know theperformance aspect will work fine on it. Matt says the tune he wrote will make it work great for what I am trying to do but it has race proven stuff going on it now.

Since his boss had a 4.4sec 1/8 miles car that uses the same stuff I figure it is gonna work fine and since everything else has been touched this should be the last thing before it needs to be painted.

Matt wants me to drive it a couple of months to make sure we have any kinks worked out before we send it to paint.

Who would have ever thought a 63 Chevy Truck would cause this much drama.....not me.

I guess me and Bonnie should just start treating our clients like shit. Apperently that's the new way to do business.

Yeah...I even have the e-mails where he said to send it back....They are a scam place...kinda like the original shop...I honestly think they are all in kahoots together.
