Highlander Hybrid Breaks Down at NASCAR Event

A Toyota Highlander Hybrid parade vehicle used for driver introductions at Lowe's Speedway this past weekend wouldn't start and had to be towed. Hopefully we won't see this from next weekend's Camry hybrid pace car.

Here's what our tipster Hank sent along with the picture:

Hmm you guys laugh at people when they get towed, but when you get towed.... thats not nice... :(

None of my cars have EVER been towed.

No breakdowns, no collisions, nothing.

Lucky, my Grand Prix left me on the side of the road about a 2 months ago when the belt tensioner arm broke in two.

I don't think Toyota is promoting the Highlander Hybrid on moral grounds. I think it is because they want to sell vehicles and make money.

Its funny because pretty much everyone in America think Toyota cars are built like tanks and that they will never break down.
