But it can't be!! We were promised a feeble show of tires going up in smoke!! Even with that trap, an 11.4 should be easily doable on street tires. A hero time might be low 11.s or maybe even high 10's on an east coast track. I think gm will respond for the 2014 model, they pretty much have top now imho.

I'm pretty sure that engine still has more room grow.

Ford has just punched the Camaro in the face. Only people who ignore the facts will disagree.

.

Yup!!

Over on the mopar forum they added a new feature that lets you "like" posts just like on FB. I would LOVE to see that feature on this board. It would save members from doing what i just did for the person above me.

These are the excuses you will be hearing from blind fan-boys who are apparently paid by GM to thump their chests for them.

I figured you might know him. He is a really great guy. He wants me to step up my game, ie.. Cam, stall ect... but I`m doing the ultimate street car thing, runs and drives like stock go to the track run 10`s, drive home, then drive to church on sunday.

Its very cool to be the record holder in a particular category! Drop some weight and hit those 10.99`s!

Sorry, I misspoke. So, that means my original question stands when addressing the performance package. Can you comment?

The tune was less than optimal but you kept your warranty. Flash forward to 2013 with a bigger motor, and more boost but basically the same hp. Yes, I think it's a little low.
We have known for some time that the 13 would have 662 SAE HP. Given that, if 609-ish ends up being about the average (and it is WAY too early to tell), then I'm a bit surprised it is that high. But as we all know....some dyno's read higher/lower than others, and some cars make slightly more/less than others (there is a bit of tolerance in the SAE certification process....there has to be).

You can nick pick it all you want but you still had a warranty. If this car was like some of the others, it might have been heat soaked to. Either way 609 is impressive but I know there is room for improvement. It has some untapped power.

I agree. If you were to run the 2.3 tvs to 15lbs on the 5.4 im certain it would make more than a stock 2013 5.8.

Im willing to bet the factory tune is super safe. Real rich with low timing would be my guess.

Yep, in the 650 rwhp and tq range by just bolting on the TVS kit with custom tune and nothing else. Im going to put some miles on mine before I go aftermarket blower. But, I will be getting the ported TVS. Whipples are nice but I dont like the way they fit.

609 sounds about right since the 550 hp 2011-2012's were putting out an average of 480 to the wheels. Some but far and few between were getting in the 500's.

Mine made 485hp/463tq (dynojet) with 200 miles on it.

You're cool,

PP is the torsein diff, adjustable shocks, wheels, roll bar changes etc..

TP requires PP and adds coolers.

I'm not 100% sure yet but I think the 2013 TVS will bolt on to 2011-2012 just fine. It has a very large port design (if not bigger) than VMP's. I e-mailed Tousley Ford to see how much the 2013 supercharger and elbow costs, I wouldn't be surprised if it's about $2k.
