She was known as the "Queen of Disco", but she had hits through the 80's.
she died at the age of 63 from cancer.

When I saw it announced on TV...I did a double take. I was quite surprised.

 The first and only time I ever saw Ms. Summer perform live was about 3 years ago.  At 60, she was beautiful, full of song and full of life.RIP Donna Summer. Thanks for providing the soundtrack to some really great memories. There's disco in Heaven tonight.
