they don't want the $ to get to my head and prevent me from concentrating on my studies

and I see their point too, couple of my friends slowly are dropping the amount of credits every semester because they want more hours

I worked since I was 12. It did me good. Kept me out of trouble.

nah, you just have to be disciplined. Summer job is just that, work during the summer. Just some part time gig. Like deliver pizza or lifeguard. nothing you want more hours for. lol then when school picks back up, quit work. Of course tell your future boss ahead of time, that that is your plan. Tons of kids do it.

plus the fact that your are getting some kind of experience is a plus.

oh, and also learning to manage your money is a good thing at an early age. i started working when i was 14. bagging groceries at the commissary on an air force base. tips only. made about $50 a weekday and $80-100 per day on the weekend. Great money for a 14 year old. lol

you will be. you should try and pick up a hobby. to help keep your mind off things.

like me, i'm just now getting into guns. I hear it can help release stress to go to a shooting range and just firing away. I know what you are going through isn't just every day stress. But just something to keep your mind on something else. staying home and doing nothing won't help. even going out on your little taquila tuesdays and what not are a good thing. You can try some 1000 piece puzzle?

I know. Once I get the energy again, I will. I am going to start looking for a new job anywhere in states so I can work on my career. Maybe start working out, get into shape. Right now I just need to be alone. I don't even want to be around my friends and I really can face my family this weekend. I can hear it now, "another failed relationship."

well, long distance is really hard. especially starting out long distance, instead of meeting in the same place then moving apart. Plus, it didn't sound like the two of you were in the same place, mentally. one was ready to settle down, the other seemed to not be that serious. The gym is a great idea too. Something else i'm starting to do again.
