Really? I've heard there isn't much to them...all the flying makes the meat pretty gross.

A duck is a fine meal when prepared properly.

Duck is too greasy, goose is slightly greasey too but if you have goose prepared properly ( I like mine smoked) its friggin delicious. Alot of people also say dove isn't worth it for hunting, I honestly love dove hunting more than any other type. I buy all my proper licenses and stamps in my state so when I am walking field for dove I will get a rabbit, or a squirrel, or if I am really lucky sometimes a pheasant. I eat them all if I kill them, but I never walk away from dove hunting empty handed. Doves are also super easy to clean since the only thing worth keeping in the breast you just run a knife under em the ditch the rest.

Not saying I wont try it, but I wouldnt need a license for getting doves
Would just have to fight my cat for the ones he brings in

Me too, now that I think about it..... I haven't walked a field for hunting since October 2005, starting to think I work too much.
