I dont care how many times someone can say "this Rendering will be close" i say total BS. They have no way of knowing for sure.

While I can understand why it would look like Fusion/Taurus I kinda hope they dont make it look like a Taurus coup. I actually like the taillights, its consistent with what many car companies are doing right now, especially dodge and ford.

50th Anniversary is coming and somehow I doubt this would be all we see from Ford to celebrate that, I still think there is a small chance of a limited edition 2nd body style priced in the 50's to celebrate the original mustang.

One last note, if this is the new Mustang after all, id drive it, its the future, and im fine with that, but the 5th gen (2005-2014) will always tug at my heart more.

The pics in the link look good!! The front looks good it just doesnt scream mustang where as i can see mustang in the rest of the car.

This rear looks better as well. Now, please incorporate the antenna into the rear glass!

This!

First thing that popped in my head seeing the front end was a Jag XJ.

This. Most of these renderings are mish-mashes of Aston Martins and the current body style, with some Taurus thrown in to make it seem authentic. I'm not sure I like any of them.

well I can't say that I wouldn't buy it... It looks very nice. It's definitely very different from the current generation. But the retro look may just be at the end of its life for the Mustang anyway. the 05 was great for quite some time, but after awhile I found myself liking the previous generation 99-04 better because of the more modern lines.

The Camaro definitely has a lot of modern lines, which is one of the reasons I chose it. However, with that said. the recessed front grille of the current generation Camaro, Challenger and Mustang may soon be a thing of the past (again) I just hope that if the next gen Camaro is also made to look more modern by removing the recessed grille, that the front end won't end up looking boring like 99% of other cars on the road.

in 15 years time, which design will endear more - the current retro design, or this new Euro-like one?

What do you think?

I like it. Send it to the factory as is. I'll take one to set beside my 2013 shelby.

The OP picture looks hideous, from front to back.

The second one looks like a cartoon version of the current GT500, but I suppose you guys do like cartoony cars.

The Current Mustang already HANDLES quite well for a car without IRS. I imagine Ford will do great with IRS personally...
