She told me to drink tequila instead of whiskey as it was more paleo or whatever. I told her the LAST thing anybody needed was me drinking tequila. It's like Dr. Jeckyl and Mr. Hyde me and that stuff. Every wild thought I've ever had comes right to the surface with no filter. Last time I had it I ended up dancing on the roof of my truck in my boxers with a big straw cowboy hat on and a beach towel tied around my neck like a cape LOL Spent the whole next day hammering out the dents in my roof UGH. I'll stick with whiskey thank you very much.
I have one Coke Zero a day. I can't go with out one. And then I drink water and sparkling water to get that fizzy taste I miss. My sister cut back to one a day too. But she said one is ok, more than that, probably shouldn't.

Yeah crossfit is all about paleo. Which the guidlines for paleo dont look bad but they sure do eat alot of bacon. Geez.

And straight etquila is my favy.

DUDE!!! Get some of this Monster Rehab drink... the one with the 15g of protein. It has a little bit of sugar... but not too much. And it helps me to take the edge off my sweet tooth

I can see if you want to maintain, and not do the bulking/cutting cycles. it's a pain in the ass, and I totally understand why you got tired of it. I'm tired of it now! But it gives me a constant new set of goals, so I'll stick with it for a couple more years. 50-75g of carbs... I definitely see that on low days when I carb cycle, but I often have a high day of carbs (200-250g) every fourth day when carb cycling. If I did that low of carbs for any length of time, I'd probably pass out I also do very slow cutting, to make sure I keep as much muscle as I can. If a person gets into the single digits and is STILL losing 1.5-2 pounds a week, that's going to be a fair amount more of muscle mass loss, than say... a half to a pound per week.
That's why I used to do it, constant new goals, like one big science experiment I just had to work SO hard to put on mass it was obvious I was fighting my body's natural balance so I decided to take it the other direction just to see what would happen. In my case it was the right decision as I look better now than I ever have. It's satisfying when you actually see results. For whatever reason, I've continued to put on some size while cutting back the carbs. The workout I'm doing is brutal so that's a lot of it I'm sure. It's a pyramid style workout with 6 sets of heavy lifts on everything. If you scroll back a page or two you'll see some of my workout logs. It's working awesome.

Yeah, they get a bit too cultish about stuff some times for my tastes, I just wanted a good workout that didn't seem like a workout and this fits the bill, but I get a bit annoyed when they call me a "crossfitter" or whatever.

I think crossfit is an excellent workout... but there is something about "crossfitters". Like 90% of them have this mentality like "if you don't do crossfit, you're effed up". I remember reading about the Tough Mudder before I did it, and there was a lot of responses to the training that were "I don't need to train. I do crossfit". They're just a funny bunch

Ooops. I got the colors wrong. I usually drink the low carb ones (once a week on thursdays to stay awake in class and make it home to workout). Gonna try that one.

Yeah definitely some weird thinking with those guys. I'd love to join a gym, and keep my sanity.

Wonder if they know they mis-spelled "protein" LOL I'm sure it was some clever marketing gimmick.

I'll try to find some of that. 15gr of extra protean certainly can't hurt!

Suppliment companies employ some of the most clever marketing strategies, if not and were straight forth with their products, most people wouldn't buy them.

On a side note. I got the test results from my blood work back, a tiny bit low on wbc and rbc so I was concerened as my dad died of lukemia and there is a history of cancer in my familly. After talking with my doctor he said the count was ever so slighly low not to be concerned, everything else is excellent so overall he graded my physical with an A, that's up from an A- last time. I must be doing something right so I guess I can keep beating the crap out of my body!!

I am glad everything is looking good!

The last part made me laugh lol keep up the great work!

Sorry I created a carb argument on here lol I try to get some in every day though my amounts may be low.

I was looking at gatorade's today online and they have some low calorie versions, I may take a look for that the next time I go to the store. I'll have a shot of that with a protein source before a workout like you mentioned. Less calories than a banana, the one I saw is called G Series Fit. Here is the info on it:
Serving Size: 8oz (1 cup)
Calories:10
Fat:0
Sodium:110mg
Potassium:30mg
Carbs:2
Sugars:2
Protein:0

What is your opinion on this? Would this give me what I need as to assist with a pre workout combined with a protein source?
http://www.gatorade.com/default.aspx...=g-fit-perform

Diet/Workouts today:

8:15am Oatmeal with cinnamon, Spoon of Natural Peanut Butter

*class*

12:30pm Grilled Chicken, Brown Rice

1:00pm 3 mile walk

2:00pm Ground Beef (not much, pretty much just a taste)

3:00pm Mile run on treadmill (finally hit my goal of below a 12:30 time! ), mixture of different workouts

4:00pm 1 Mile walk

4:30pm Grilled Chicken and whole Green Beans

*walk another 2 miles tonight*

Not bad, I think you need more protein though. Get AT LEAST 30gr per meal. A body that's working out can absorb 30gr no problem at one sitting.

MAKE SURE to get protein first thing in the morning. Your body has been at rest for 8 hours and you need to get protein right away when you wake up to preserve muscle.

You're doing lots of aerobic type workout...add in some weights. You don't have to go crazy and get in to body building like I am, but you adding in some strength training will give you an over all better level of fitness and the extra strength will be nice.
