ZR1 vs GT500

After the info released today , I am very curious who you guys would pick in the 1/4 -- BASED ON WHAT WE KNOW.

This seems a step up from a Ford GT for 1/3 the price.

Ford says that the GT500′s supercharged 5.8-liter V-8 is now the most powerful production V-8 in the world

But seriously, when cars start to have this much power the driver is the most important factor. You can have all the power in the world, but if the driver doesn't know what he is doing, then it's a big waste of time.

ZR1 has gone into the 10's on nothing but a drag radial.

This is where power to weight comes in.

Both cars have a different feel driving it. You might get a better 1/4 in one than the other.

You, know...I gotta say something....you FOrd guys take a ton of flack around these parts for spesaking the truth.

I for one, want to commend you guys on stuff like this....when your brand is beat, you admit.

LOL, according to who??? Ford GT goes 0-60 in 3.3. What car are we talking about here that can equal or exceed that??? I have seen video of a Ford GT forum member running his modded car at VIR. He was lapping in the 2:08-2:10 range.....

Corvettes and Mustangs usually aren't cross shopped with $1.5m cars.

If a pagani zonda owner likes the vette or stang -- I'm sure he/she would buy it.
