There are NONE!! Why?!! Cause in reality no one gives a crap about road course racing!!! Now go check the MULTIPLE 1/4 mile threads and see all the attention theyre getting!!

Geez just accept the fact that Ford has flat out hung a foot in Chevys azz with this one.

It can only be a good thing. Chevy cant match Fords hp in the ZL1 without first uppin the HP in the ZR1. So maybe just maybe we'll see a 750hp ZR1 and a 700hp ZL1.
You mad bro?? Please leave your hattin on the glove box man. If still you cant understand that the ZL1 is a factory road track car is your problem. We dont need to take our cars to the road course, we know whats the car capable of. It was built inside a wind tunnel, developed on computer simulations and then proved physically at the Ring. Things that sadly you cant do on your straight line uni-dimensional performance Charger.

Again, I say...they've tested already at Nurburgring. They didn't release the times.

Do you seriously think the suspension that the Mustang has will even come close to the MRS the ZL1 has???

I don't have any problems believing the Mustang will be faster in the 1/4 mile though...I just fail to see how Mustang is going to come close to competing with the ZL1 on the twisties though. And the lack of disclosure by Ford as to the times they were getting at Nurburgring is telling. You know if they had blown away the ZL1, that that video would already be up.

The silence by Ford on this is deafening...

Me mad??? Im SUPER excited about this new king of ALL muscle cars!! And i wont even be owning one! I will get great amounts of orgasmic pleasure when this thing stomps the crap outta the ZL1 both on the drag strip and the road course!! Not so much it beating the ZL1 tho, the pleasure will come from delusional ppl like yourself getting all butt hurt from something that was oh so obvious wayyy before the KING was even released.

Also u say my straight line Charger like thats an insult... In case you couldnt tell from my posts im stictly a 1/4 mile kinda guy so youre not hurting my feelings. Youre just stating the obvious.

Also how am i "hattin"?? Cause im stating facts? I never once said the ZL1 was a slow POS. Im only saying the KING will be a much better performer and a much better value.

FYI almost EVERY modern day performance car goes thru wind tunnel testing, is designed on a cpu, and sadly goes to the "ring" which is nuttin more than a bunch of marketing hype.

I find it hilarious that before the 650hp (now an even more impressive 662hp) KING was announced everyone on here was sayin that this is Chevys Shelby killer and that its gonna smoke it down the 1/4 mile. Wasnt much bragging about how well it handled. Then the 580hp was announced and everyone was in a uproar cause it topped the Shelbys hp rating. Then came the weight specs of the ZL1. That quieted the few that had sense that realized that this wasnt going to be a walk in the park like most were thinking. Theeen Ford dropped the BOMB, and out of no where the ZL1 is Chevys Boss 302. The car that was built for the road course. Gimmie a break...

The fact that the GT 500 is probably going to kick the ZL-1's ass is a good thing. It means that the 6th Gen is going to bring some serious advances to the table. It won't have to try and compromise based off a big heavy chassis. I eagerly await what the New GM is gonna bring to the table, but I think we can call the battle of the 5th Gen now. Having the Corvette as your big brother doesn't help either.

Doesn't mean its not a good car, just means there is a better one out there.

Sounds like GM needs to get with the program and put the LS9 in the Camaro and trick it out some more. Who cares if it steps on the Corvettes toes? Its not like GM has been keeping up with the competition with the Corvette lately....

I'm sure the standard pro-Corvette food chain will come into play, it always does. Here's a thought, why not have the LS9 make 680hp in the ZL1 and 700hp in the C7 ZR1? Takes care of the GT500 and Viper problem in the numbers game.
