GM has officially trademarked the term "SS"

Does this mean that the rumored RWD sedan will indeed be the Caprice but named the "SS"

I think this is the strongest of all the rumors. I just cant see it being a new impala SS.

They wouldnt trademark the term for that.

It's not a Caprice. It's a SWB Zeta.

Caprice = LWB Zeta. It's the PPV.

Commodore = SWB Zeta. That's what the SS sedan will be.

Imagine if '08-09 had gone differently and Toyota had the rights to SS.

But who DIDN'T see this coming for the SWB sedan? Limited production, RWD, V8 only..

Hopefully it sells enough to land a niche and therefore a V6 option turned Charger fighter.

While back it was said GM would only import the V8 Commodore for the SS model. Not sure if it's changed but it was only done to meet sales numbers required to run the car in NASCAR. If there's a V6/M6 option I may have found my next DD..

Well after a Truck.

Don't know about that...it'll probably end up costing what would be expected of a four-door Camaro SS.

So 45-50k..

Yup, that's a niche of 200 cars now.

So does SS even mean Super Sport anymore? Or is it just another silly trim acronym like LS and LT?
