I am working on buying a new 2010 black w/ tan interior 2LT and plan on customizing it to look like a 1967 Gorries Panther with some after-market gold stripes and emblems.... as soon as I can pay off 2-3 credit cards to afford monthly car payments again. Hopefully I will be back in black by the end of the year.

Years ago I talked with my grandfather about restoring one together and thought it would be an easy task since he worked for GM for 25 years before passing on. He had no such luck finding one. Well, now here's the chance and he would be dang proud if he knew.
On order - IBM 2SS/RS. I can't wait for the day until it gets here! I'm so excited for everyone that has theirs!
This is an amazing site and have learned a lot of things from it. Thank you for maintaining an awesome place for Camaro Lovers!

Hello. My name is Brian. I am 36 years old and live in Kansas City. My wife and I just ordered a 2010 2LT with the RS package. We can hardly wait for our car. We have been FAITHFUL GM buyers for years, and this will be our first Camaro. Looking forward to getting to know people here and getting lots of good info. Also can't wait for some aftermarket exhausts for the V-6....wasn't impressed with factory exhaust sound...LOL

I'm the husband, I honestly though she was nuts to want to go look at it. I originally did not like the prototype cars and I never liked the build quality of other GM vehicles. When we looked at the Camaro in person I pretty much told her to give them money NOW!!!!. And We now have a 2SS/RS ordered and I cant wait for the car to get here. I love the fit and finish. The technology that went into it. We are coming out of a Honda S2000 into this car. The Camaro feels better built, has more features, and it a hell of alot more appealing to the eyes than the S2000.

Hi Jeff. With regard to your deleted posts, it looks like Tran was trying to keep those threads on topic so he removed your posts. Don't worry, he does the same thing to me sometimes.

Welcome Brian. I'm sure there will be companies that offer a deeper sounding exhaust for the V6, the stock certainly isn't what you'd expect from a Camaro.

Hi all!
Hello Mitch. Was your SRT-4 the based off of the older Neon or the new Caliber?

Going from an S2000 to an SS Camaro is quite the change. Have either of you told GM your story yet? They frequent the forums but I don't think they visit the welcome thread too often.

Older Neon. It was a 2005. I got it right after I graduated High School. At the time it was the cheapest, quickest New car on the Market. And had alot of Market for go fast parts. I ended up putting around $3500 in it(Motor, Exterior etc) It made 291WHP 343TRQ and ran 13.2s@111-113. Trap was high but I could get the 60ft down with little 225/45 KDWs. But that was too be expected. I drove it very well on the street, not so good on the track. With that MPH I was kepping up with some of my friends Cammed F-Bodys on the street. But I wasnt the usual shit starting little punk who had one(Like alot of the Srt-4 Owners were) It was a very cool little car to drive.

Hello everyone!

I've been lurking for almost a year now, but decided I should go ahead and join.

In the next couple of months I should be ordering my first (and hopefully last) brand new car - I've always bought new up to this point, but want to be the only one to ever own my baby - will be ordering a yellow 2SS/RS.

I've been in love with the Camaro since the 80's and always wanted to own one but was never in a position financially to make it happen until 2005 and since they weren't making them then, I ended up buying a Vette. It was a great car, but not a Camaro so I got rid of it and began saving for my Camaro. I'm looking forward to ordering it sometime later this year!

Thanks to everyone for all the good info - this is a great site!!!
