I be one of those younger people. And this may scare you but most of us don't have any preference... We like cars, we like gadgets, we like neat things, we love technology, and we will take it any way we can get it! And GM needs to get that into their heads that we just aren't as loyal as we used to be. GM needs to ... restructure... and continue to add onto the nifty gadgets and options that they build into their cars like oh say, nav, huds, mp3 playing stereo systems, with SUBS, more comfortable interiors, cool things like interior ambient lighting. That will get us younger folks to stay loyal.

I'm pretty darn loyal to GM. Anything that is every day, or something to carry my future children in to school I will be buying GM. But if we are talking about getting me a toy. Nothing will influence my decision. GM just happens to be making two of my favorite cars of all time right now. And by chance of luck that keeps me loyal, but if something comes along my way that I like. You better believe me when I say, sold!

Personally, I love the fact that there are so many Mustang owners on the site. The fact that they feel welcome and part of the group says a lot.

Totally agree a BIG part of the reason I went Mustang was because of the nav, sync and gadgets. It had that extra that the Camaro for me didn't have. Almost identical performance a lighter car, usable trunkl and sweet interior with a bunch of tech gadgets. I am what you consider a young guy too, so i agree with this statement completely!

Well, I just saw this thread and noticed my name was in it, so I feel obligated to post something. First and foremost, thanks to those of you who realize that I am not on this forum to poke fun at, run down or simply trivialize the Camaro in any way.

Yes, I do post a lot in threads that have to do with Mustangs, but it’s not to try and put the Mustang on some pedestal or to say that the Mustang is superior to the Camaro. If you will take note, almost all of my posts in regards to the Mustang were either corrections to an errant post someone else made in regards to the vehicle or an expression of my own personal experience with the Mustangs I own/have owned.

Of course, just because I currently drive a Ford, that does not mean I’m lacking in knowledge about other makes and models of vehicles. In fact, I’d say that my knowledge of all things Camaro is second only to my understanding of all things Mustang. I have wrenched on 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th generation Camaro’s till my knuckles bled and have probably forgotten more about those engines/drivetrains than many of the younger members on this site will ever know. Some of you guys act like I automatically know nothing about the Camaro nor appreciate its history because I’ve yet to have one in my garage.

I am on this site because I, too, have been missed the Camaro in the GM lineup and I would guess that I am almost as excited as anyone on these forums to see its return to the market. That being said, that does not mean I will refrain from posting my opinions and observations about the car, both good and bad. I try to be as honest as I can in my posts, and I have no problem accepting what we all might agree are shortcomings on each car we discuss. Case in point, the interior in my 2006 GTO, IMHO, was better than the interior in my current GT500. The n/a LS2 in that car was much stronger than the n/a power-plant in my 2005 Mustang GT. I never liked the big grille-mounted foglights on the 2005-2009 Mustang Gt and I like them even less on the 2010 re-skin.

To the OP, I understand what you are trying to say, but the title of your thread makes it sound as if you want some forum insulated from any comments about the Camaro that are remotely negative or that might detract from the vehicle in any way. In addition, you make it sound like the source of the negativity is from members on this board who own/drive a car other than a Camaro. Just a cursory review of the posts will reveal that the vast majority of the comments you feel are detrimental to the Camaro are being made by people that are current or prospective 2010 Camaro owners or folks who have a passion for the model. Do you think those people, although Camaro owners, would simply remain silent and not address their perceived shortcomings/issues with the car? If so, you need to get out and experience reality, my friend.

Actually if you take a look around most of the negativity on this forum is not even related to another car its about GM not doing their jobs correctly, customer service sucking and GM not being able to track their own vehicle better than UPS. maybe 3% is about a mustang. i think the camaro is a cool car but to be honest GM is messing it all up with these QC issues.. nothing agains the car it's again the morons not keeping their paying customers #1 and informed.

you are basically asking camaro fans to hold their tongue if they have anything negative to say about their own car?

The title of the thread may be a bit off, but my point is I come here to read about the Camaro and I am tired of sifting through Mustang threads.....period. It is simple, my grasp of "reality" is firm...trust me.

I cannot wait to post pics of my Camaro on all the Mustang and Challenger Forums, I would probably get kicked off. I cannot wait to review my car vs the Mustang GT I tested at the dealer. I cannot be the only one that feels over run and smacked down by all the negativity being shared on a lot of posts.

Even FbodFather seems turned off lately!

Post your thoughts.
Lock it down!

Im a chevy guy. not gonna lie. I was pretty much a fanboy until I came here. Listening and challenging mustang guys has only pushed me to do more research on both cars. Also making me respect competition and the pros/cons of each car. Which makes me smarter. but also too much time on the internet..LOL.

your post in the mustang poll shows that you still are a fanboy.
