Deer Jerky....

A co-workers husband has been trying to get me to try it for a while now. He stopped by this morning and dropped off a tub full.

It's half gone... I have had it before and it was bleh... I have NO idea what his process is to prepare it but omg... I would be chewing some and have the next piece in my hand ready to destroy.

I will never eat a Slim Jim again.

I have deer that eat everything in my garden, looks like it's time to turn the table. low fat protein, yum.

Oooh yeah, exotic meats. I understand that the natives of New Guinea make dried meat of human jerks that cross their path. Hmm, I wonder if I could persuade the mother-in-law to go for a visit. If those savages have any sense at all, her flesh will be reserved for animal consumption only.
