So your getting a Mustang, actualy I am not surprise you are, but congrats. I don't buy cars until I test drive them aswell, But since I am planning on modding my car and not leaving it stock, personaly I consider potiential aswell. The camaro won in my eyes, the ability of the LS3 to make absurds amount of Hp for so little money is a HUGE benifit in my eyes. I always wanted a 500rwhp Daily driver, For the mustang to even remotely touch 500hp takes a $7000 blower, but for the Camaro $600 cam and basic bolton and tune. To each there own I guess.

By the Way if you do get the 2010 mustang, You are going to feel Sick in 2011 when Ecoboost comes out and that 5.0 engine. Turbos are so easy to get more HP out of, Just simply turn up the boost.

Agreed, I'd buy a Hyundai Genesis before a Challenger, Mustang, Camaro.

That is my only issue with the 2010 Mustangs....they did the redesign prior to the new engines. I completely understand why Ford did it, but all the same.

Everything this new Mustang has, was available back in 2005. There was a track pack, a power pack, and a drag pack all available from Ford racing, and some dealerships would even install them for you if you made the arrangements.

I think the only thing those packages didn't have was improved brake pads, but you could also get a 4.10 rear end ratio (which rules by the way).

I don't want that to take away from the OP, I love what they did to the front end to make it more aggressive, and it looks great in black.

I'm curious where the Mustang doesn't meet current safety standards. Or is it just that it hasn't been tested against current standards, and we are pending results?

The covertible Mustang GT just got a 5 star crash rating a year or two ago, and I would be hard-pressed to believe a car could go from a 5 star rating to a zero rating just like that.

WHHHOA I drove both and the genesis while a nice offering from hyundai is no where near what the Mustang brings to the table!
