i like the zl1 but this viper is awesome
I look for the black carbon fibre top & the window in the hood, they're easier to spot than badges

There is several more differences between a ZR1 and a base vette than just a badge..

The average Joe on the street has a hard enough time telling the difference between a Camaro and a Challenger. I don't expect them to be able to spot the difference between trim levels on a car and even if they can tell a base model from an upper-trim one, very few will appreciate what those differences mean. Afterall, how many actually know what is special about a ZR1? Not how it looks, but what makes it mechanically different from other Corvettes? They don't know, and don't really care. It could have the wildest, most gussied up re-skin of any specialty version of any car and most people would only notice that its an odd looking Corvette, and probably assume that its some sort of aftermarket body kit or something. They won't understand that it has a supercharged engine, Ferrari Enzo brakes, a trick suspension, and so on. Actually ... now that I think about it, most only have a vague grasp of what a supercharger or an Enzo are.

I do expect enthusiasts for that car to know these sorts of things though. At least, I'd hope they'd know enough to rely on more than a badge (since cars are easily up-badged). And as long as they appreciate it, what does the opinion of the average non-enthusiast matter?
