Wow new upgrades :)

So broke down and got some new upgrades for my computer. Got a Crucial M4 512GB SSD and a GeForce GTX680.

Boot times went from 3.5 minutes for stable machine to 25 seconds. Gaming with the GTX680 is awesome.

None of those, but very interesting how IE just comes up and goes right the page you want. None of that first time connecting wait you see sometime just pretty dang instant to any website.

UPDATE: Yep just went to the threads of cars of different colors where almost evey post is a picture and it is instant.

HA HA, nope!! Since I own a hardware review site and a computer consulting business my accountant said I should invest in some office equipment. Last year was i7 970 CPU and HP Color Laser/Scanner/Copier/FAX. This year SSD and GTX680.

I just built a machine w/ an 8-core 3.2 GHz Bulldozer and 16 GB RAM. I do software dev so lots of virtual machines and servers are necessary.

Boot times and loading times are basically all a function of how fast the hard drive is. So the solid state drive did the trick

Pretty good, almost as fast as a GTX590 and run with allot less power usage and noise. Totally blows away my GTX580 which I started using do to BattleField 3 multigpu issues with lockups. What is funny is this was supposed to be NVIDIA's midrange card like the GTX560 is it would of been the GTX660 but it beats AMD's highend card in most test.

So NVIDIA is just sitting and tweaking what would of been GTX670 and GTX680 to see what AMD comes out with.

so obviously its better for me to get a 600 series card vs getting a 500 to replace my gtx 480
as I said, only thing that got me worried was the pci number

PCI-E 3 is backwards compatible with PCI-E 2 and PCI-E 1.
