The Caddy of all business jets, Gulfstream G550. The pic is the Navy version C-37B. The Navy only operates three of them for Executive Transport out of Andrews Air Force Base. They also operate two GIII's. How do I know? I used to work there. I didn't fly them, just maintained them. I did ride in our G550's and GIII's a few times though.

Cruise... 6750 mile range going Mach .85 @ 51,000 feet. Pilots have one legged it from Japan to Andrews and Andrews to the Middle east. Makes for a long day of flying.

This one goes to ELEVEN.

Coming home it's a gamble if you can non stop it or not. Conditions have to be just right.

We do have one with the Winglets though.

Here is the specs from Cessna

I fly the Airbus 320 for Virgin America. The Citation Ten or Gulfstream has always been a one ride dream...something about doing .92mach at 51,000ft....sounds fun! As I'm at 37,000ft right now heading to Boston playing on the wifi that our planes have.

We have wifi also and Ipads. It will go to 51, but you have to be light. I have been there 4 times just to do it. We typically cruise FL45 - FL47. Will go to FL49 to top wx or to try and non stop London to PVD. Typical cruise is .89. But it can easily do .92. I have unintentionally hit.94.

That should be no issue at all.

It's a long road but it's worth it. I work around 2 days a week. Sometimes more if we are real busy. Next week I will work from 6am until noon on Monday and thats it. Last summer I worked 3 days in 6 weeks. The best part is that I am salaried. Not all corporate flight departments are like mine. Mine is a great enviroment to work. Everyone gets along and the passengers are great.

BTW, corporate flight departments are pretty hard to get in. Most new hires come from internal recommendations. So make sure you network whenever you can.

I have had great relations with awesome airplane-oriented folks....civil and armed forces....and naturally, been around some of the best aircraft in the world.

Pleased to make your acquaintances!
