honestly i'd almost rather win a smaller amount.Think about it: when someone wins 20 or 50 million you never hear about it. When the jackpots are over $250 million they have a press conference, show the winners, the names, where they are. Who 'd want that?
I still don't get the people that 'only play when it's big'.
So $50 million isn't big? I mean usually mega millions goes up by about 10 million per drawing. This week it went up over $100 million on one draw.

Just take the lump sum and invest it at 2% and you have over $450M by the time you would actually get paid all of the 26 annual payments.

i only play when it's a larger than normal amount because i have to drive a little ways to play. if we had the lotto here in nevada, i would play once a week.

also, if you were to win that much money, it's probably not hard to move...and get lost. And it wouldn't be permanent. it would blow over pretty quickly, actually. good time to book a vacation at a tropical island for a few months, then when you are ready to come back, come back to a new place in a different part of the country. lol

If I won I definitely wouldn't let all the info about me go public. That just makes you a target.

Not sure if this is true, but I heard that there were so many tickets bought, that EVERY combination of the #'s & the megaball has been printed, so there will be at least 1 winning ticket.

Not sure of the math (6 factorial something..?) + something for the megaball, but thats what I heard...

Gotta get 5 #'s out of a pool from 1-56 balls
AND the MEGABALL # out of a pool of 1-46 balls

there is just under 176mil different combinations. so i wouldn't be surprised.
