You need to shop at more then one dealer for each brand. You can't base the quality of service of an entire brand based on your one experience at a particular Ford dealer. I had my share of terrible Chevrolet dealers, and my share of Chevrolet dealers who treated you like gold. Keep in mind, dealers are independently run. Your experience will vary.

It sounds like you weren't a serious customer anyhow. What is the point of test driving if you don't have any intention of purchasing it?
