Wow, what a save.

But how do you lose control of a GT-R on a straight line? something must have broke to upset the power transfer don't you think?

Why don't they make more run off for the tracks so that if you do lose control, you have a larger amout of space to recover?

my guess is to prevent the car from getting even more out of control. Do you mean like how on a road course or track they have the 40 - 50 yards of sand?

From what I understand about the GTR is that it is not AWD all the time. At a standing start like this one on a dragstrip, it will mostly be RWD until it gets farther down the track.. The GTR is an odd duck. Lots of technology in that car. I still have much to learn about it, and I always want to learn more about it.

So "FWD" torque steer threw him all over when it kicked in???

Uh, no. I was thinking more like RWD was getting it sideways. And the split didn't occur like it should have. With how much technology that's in that damn thing it could be a 100 different scenarios.

EDIT: It looks like maybe 2012's have a RWD function added. Making the car constantly RWD by the push of a button. Interesting, gonna have to check up on this.
