I grew up living next door to the real Leonard Skinner's parents. For any who don't know, Leonard was a coach at Lee High School and the band was named after him.

Here's my favorite Skynyrd song.

I actually knew that little factoid, but I always wondered what he thought about the name?

I can't say for sure but I always had the impression he thought it was kinda cool they named the band after him.

I also used to drink in a little place called "Mother Earth" when the house band was 38 Special. Now those were the days. I remember walking home from there one night cause I couldn't find my car. I walked back up there the next morning and there it was, right where I left it. Probably best I couldn't find it the night before.

Anybody here a baseball fan? I am a baseball addict and cannot wait for opening day, I think it should be a National Holiday!!!

I must admit that I am somewhat concerned about my Phils this year.....our window is closing quickly.

Seen them many times, brings back so many awesome memories, although there is only one original band member now.........they do a good job with old and new. Those Van Zant brothers have/had so much talent, WOW!

I danced with both my boys at their weddings to Skynyrd songs......not the rocking ones, but they have some pretty mellow special songs.....check out Lucky Man if you don't believe me

I saw them in concert at Nashville Speedway just before the crash. I still have the discontinued album cover with the flames. Geez, we ARE old huh?

I was a Yankees fan when I was dating a Yankees fan a few years back. Does that count?

One of the gals I work with mentioned that we have had at least one day of snow each month for the past 6 months. Longest NW winter ever.
