2011 Jeep Wrangler vs 2006 Pontiac Solstice

Have opportunity to buy 2011 Jeep Wrangler. Its red with blk removable hard top. It has a 3" lift oversize wheels and tires custom interior red accents. Stock Sirius radio/CD player. 5AT. It's cloth interior which is what my wife prefers. It also has K&N CAI. Has almost 20k miles. Orrrrrrrr 2006 Pontiac Solstice non turbo 5MT all factory decently equipped all leather full power has 14k miles. Not a scratch or ding anywhere inside or out. It's a darker silver with black stripes nose to tail. Asking 15.9k. I know the only things these two cars have in common are the color of their tires and open air motoring. I have an 06 Scion xB 5MT with 70k miles on it. Dealer said he'd do 20k on the Jeep with trade in or 9k on the Solstice.
no pics of Solstice. Yet.

Go with Jeep. Solstice is a throw away car.

After seeing the pics of the Jeep, I would for sure get the jeep. Nice!

Plus it's much more useful. The 2011s have a much better motor in them and the resale would be higher than the Solstice could ever be.

Jeep, not even a question. Yes, it is twice as much, but will be worth that on the back end too.

If it was a gxp solstice, it would be a harder decision.

Actually it's the 12s that got the pentastar, though the 11s have the MUCH improved new interior.

Agreed!!!

Only way I would do a Solstice or a Sky was to do the turbo version... not non-turbo versions are very underpowered! Also you have no room to carry ANYTHING in the Solstice/Sky! It basically only good for a Sunday drive... no storage for an overnight bag unless you put it in the passenger seat...

I did seriously consider a Solstice GXP... but no matter how I position the seat and steering wheel, i could never manage to see the speedometer/tachometer...

So i say JEEP!!!

Well it looks like the decision is made easy as it seems somebody is in trying to put a deal together on the Solstice. my wife really really liked that car. If it was up to me solely I'd get the jeep. Those wheels and tires aren't cheap and the K&N CAI gives it a nice throaty sound. If I get it I'll prolly put an exhaust on it and call it a day. It's mainly for the wife.

Gaaaaaaaah wife just drove through a huge puddle in the Scion and I'm fearing the worst: That my long tube CAI sucked up the wrong stuff. Hydro lock. #$@*!!!!
