Just remember that your kitty is waiting for you at the Rainbow Bridge, hanging out with my Caesar, Sugar'n'Spice's Majix, and HotRodSally's Molly. They should be the best of friends by the time we get there.

Thank you all for your kind words. I had 17 years with my Punkin. Now I have to start looking for a kitten. Hard to think about the fact I might not outlive the next one. On the other hand, there's been a cat living in my house for over 35 years so I have no idea how to live without a cat in the house.

Dcarlos55, please accept my condolences on the loss of your beloved Punkin. I'm sure she's already met up with her cousin, Molly from Las Vegas, who headed out 3 weeks ago on her journey. If Punkin's a personality plus Calico, like Molly, they're probably already plotting how to get all the other furbabies at the bridge to cater to their whims until we get there and once again cater to their whims. I am so sorry for your loss. I lost my cat Geo after 18 years last fall. Its never easy to say goodbye to a friend but some day you will be reunited.

On a happier pet note we belong to a local Dachshund club here. Yesterday was the St Patricks Day Parade in Buffalo NY. Our club marches every year. Due to the spectacualr weather we are enjoying her there was record turnout.

We decorate my truck and it gets dubbed the "Wiener Wagon for the day. You really hear some interesting comments when you drive a "Wiener Wagon followed by dozens of Dachshunds along a parade route full of people being Irish for a day. Here are a few pictures we too of the fun.

The second and last pictures are my dogs Helmut, Schroeder, Wilhelm, and Violet.

Trust me ...we understand how you feel. I lost mine on Dec. 30th and I am still missing him so ...as much as I would love to give a cat a loving home. I am just not ready yet...

This was my Majix. He was only 6 and half years. Never expected it.
