THIS IS GOING TO BE GOOD.....if you hadn't seen this before or read about it.....this is actually a PREQUAL to the Aliens Trilogy......if you look real close, the ship in the beginning of the clip is the ship that was found in the original Aliens film.

I love both Alien & Aliens as movies...Aliens is probably in my top 10 movies, perhaps top 5. So I am -really- hoping this will be good. My understanding is that this is about another race, not the "aliens" or "predators", but a 3rd faction. Can't wait.

I'm too 100% sure this movie will be good.
Unfortunately is this movie also in 3D.

At least it appears we may find out more about the big azzed "space jockey" they found in the first Alien movie with a hole popped out of his chest.

It's being downplayed as a straight-up 'prequel' but it seems apparent this is what instigated the basis of the original Alien film. IMO, at this point it looks like the Alien movies were a tangent from this particular line of events. We shall see.

I WILL see it, regardless.

This will set a new standard in the franchise. I really want to see the Colonial Marines come back with their motion trackers and pulse rifles. Maybe in the sequel. Jolie could play Ripley.

The rumor is that the last 15 minutes of the movie will show the Aliens

I just read an article about the "WonderCon" were they premiered the new trailer....and Scott made mention of a possible PART 2 to this film. Just like most movies of this nature....they will always leave something hanging......just in case!

I am definitely excited to see them expanding upon the lore of the Xenomorph universe. A lot of folks get caught up in the "post-Alien" time line...but I mean come on...space travel can't all be boring!

I do hope they can go back to some of the more psychological-thriller type themes from the first movie. There weren't as many "jump out and scare you" moments, but it was still very intense. The suspense was killer, but it never really felt like it was being drug out unnecessarily.

Action is nice, but tone and ambiance of the film in between those moments will be what makes or breaks it for me.
