Good Luck had a set of wheels shipped from California UPS store packed them and UPS shipped them. Had Full insurance and UPS denied the claim. BS I just didn't feel like fighting I will never buy insurance again. Hope it turns out better for you.

That totally sucks. I feel your pain though. I ordered a new tv stand last weekend for my components in the living room after I wall mounted my new tv. On Wednesday it got here. UPS guy rang the doorbell and when I opened the door he was already gone. This is why:

Needless to say I immediately called UPS to come pick it up and I refused delivery. They came back an hour later and got it. To top it off they're not in stock now so I have to find something else.

I fear that outcome as well...if thats the case I'll run em the rest of the summer, and then have em stripped re-coated/cleared in the winter with a white pin stripe painted on.

I can deal with the bigger scratches/chunk (can fill in with gloss model paint I just hope the light surface scratches that didnt penatrate the clear will buff out) IF they deny it, but I'll purchase a decal that says "FED EX SUCKS" and put it on my rear window. LOL

That sucks about UPS...

Ya that really sucks. Hopefully they will make it right. Too bad you are without wheels while you have to wait.

Yea, it does...that impatient part of me wants to say screw it...but as SOON as I do they will be like, oh we were going to cover it, but now that you've mounted and driven on them, too bad.

If buffing them wont improve them AT ALL, then I'm not gonna waste the money. They wont take any of the scratches that didnt penatrate the clear off?

If you had a proper buffer and some polish then most of it could be buffed out.

Only the scratches that you can't catch with your fingernail could be polished out. The rest would be too deep.

Awesome. A buddy I used to ride quads with works at a local dealership body shop...he said he'll buff out what he can for $50.

That's probably the best you can hope for on those wheels. Good luck.

Yes. That would probably be the way to go.

Yes I can vouch that FedEx does indeed suck. They misdelivered a $700 camera to a wrong house and failed to retrieve it...so that started a whole claim process. Having worked at UPS I can say that they are MUCH better than FedEx, so I'd ship with them whenever possible and I mean the shipping costs are practically the same. I worked on the belt where you take the packages and load them onto the delievery trucks, so I can also tell you that not all packages get treated with TLC. You can imagine loading 4 trucks at once each with hundreds of boxes on them, unfortunately sometimes people just throw the packages on the floor, epecially if its a bulk order like wheels (multiple packages of the same thing or 1 big heavy package) either way the wheels would fall under this and are a PITA so I wouldnt be surprised if the loader dropped em or threw them on the ground either by accident or in a rush. If you can show where there's damaging to the packaging, then you can make a case against FedEx and hopefully they will reinburse you for the wheel or wheels that were damaged.
