Probably similar to the current Equinox's pricing.

I now know!!

The 2010 Equinox will actually cost $1800 less than the current 2009 model...

Base LS starts at $23,185. That's the FWD, LS model, 2.4L SIDI ECOTEC I-4, 182 HP, 30 MPG highway.

Ya know, my dad was joking about a moronic blogger who thought he had the "solution" to GM's "problems". He said something to the effect of: "What GM needs to do is build the best cars on the planet, and sell them cheaper than everyone else".

Wow, the wisdom this man possesses, its a wonder why he isn't running the company! But, the more we see the new GM lineup, the more I realize its somewhat of a possibility. Almost every market GM is in, they have a car at or near the top of its segment. And this Equinox is no exception. If they keep hitting homeruns, eventually they'll have to win the game...

I really like the new Equinox but the one the that I have a problem with is the rear end.

Those two look real similar. But like I said it is a really nice car if I weren't looking for something bigger this would warrant a look.

New fuel economy figures!

For anyone thinking to get one as a brother to your Camaro...

Preliminary testing by GM, plus some extreme drivetrain tuning is yielding around 22 city, 32 highway MPG!

And the Equinox's two key competitors...Toyota RAV4: 22/28 MPG and Honda CR-V: 20/27 MPG.

I pretty much like it- but I have one huge reservation (the same one I had for the GMC equivalent).

HUGE FENDER BULGES little tiny wheels and tires.

Lose the bulges or put in some more appropriate shoes.

just curious, is the lock/unlock switch on the center stack something GM is moving towards putting in all their cars?

Yes. Saves them the trouble of putting a switch on the driver's side door and passenger side door.
