*Archers wanted*
I'm wondering how many of us are into archery as much as we are into cars.....
......alright, Camaros specifically! In case we have a decent following of archers, I decided to make a social group just for us. So stop on by and join! It would be fun to have enough going that we could put together an online league shoot or two. http://camaro5.com/forums/group.php?groupid=325

I shot an '06 Hoyt UltraTec for 6 years and recently traded it on a Hoyt '12 AlphaElite. I had anticipated doing some hunting with the UltraTec but wound up shooting way more spots than game - didn't see one day in the field. :(

I just use it for hunting and 3d target practice, no competitions or anything like that. I love how accurate, light and quiet it is.

I love bow hunting. Don't get to do as much as I would like though. I joined the group. I have a Kodiak Outdoors Titan 32. Smoothest bow I have ever used, in fact I was a lefty and this is so smooth that I am able to use a right handed model from them.
I am on thier homepage with a doe I took back in 2010. http://www.kodiak-outdoors.com/pages/titan.html

I used to shoot competition and also hunt. I started back in the days when Jennings and Bear where the top bows. I live in the same town with legend Larry Wise and know him very well.
I recently had to switch to a crossbow because I can't pull a compound anymore effectively. I really love my new Tenpoint Crossbow though. It's a great sport for the whole family. I wouldn't trade those years for anything. |

Am I understanding this correctly: you're shooting a right-handed model left-handed? Or is it that you normally shoot lefty, but are now shooting righty? Either way that is great your bow permits you to do that. I normally shoot righty. Last year I bought a lefty take-down recurve to help keep my shoulder strength balanced - sort of the same principle as lifting weights. Quote:
Is your effectiveness something a lighter draw weight could help? I had a bout of tendinitis in my drawing shoulder last June which took a few months to recuperate. After a couple months, lowering the poundage on my old bow helped greatly during the recovery. Now I am back to exercising normally again and I can draw the original weight on my new bow very well, though I am still careful not to overdo it. Even if you shoot a crossbow, you're welcome to join. The presence of experienced archers is a plus!

P.S. no training wheels for this guy! lol it ways always fun to banter back and forth with the compound bow guys
