My girlfriend I've been working out with was my size when we met and she had a lot of health problems and gained alot. She bought tread mill and weights and i've been passing her workouts and doing them with her and texting her to see how its going and she does great with the exercise but her diet is BAD (she knows how to eat and cook healthy because she has been thin her whole life) and she came out yesterday and said you know you come workout with me and I really work hard when youre here and I work out during the week but I just can't stop eating food, I dont eat for comfort I eat for taste and that her husband has bad eating habits and he is to kind to be like babe you shouldnt eat that or are you going to hit the gym today. So I kinda just said girl its not easy I eat my meals and watch everyone go back for seconds or eat something less healthy and I'm SO JEALOUS sometimes. But you just have to remember its a temporary want and you have to remember your long term goal. I also said she is going to have to sit her family and her fiance down and be like ya'll are effecting my health and I need your support to get back on track.

She messaged me today, she sat her hubby down and told him how much her health meant to her and how much she needed him to support her and she ordered P90X and she is starting a blog to hold herself accountable. Very very proud of her. And feeling quite like a boss for helping her.
Thats a wonderful feeling when you have influenced someone's life like that, its so hard when you have no support at home, I get plenty of support from Randy, Believe it or not! LOL and my kids even though they don't eat as healthy as me, although it has helped my daughter eat better, because I know if I started eating burgers and fries and unhealthy food all through the week, they would all tell me to stop and to remember my goals! anyway it may not seem people always notice but they do and makes them want to better themselves!! I Love that! Even my son told me he was gonna start eating healthier and thats a step in the right direction, even though he is as lean as can be and has a 6 pack without even trying, haha I remember thoughs days, but as we get older it takes more work!!!

Influencing someone just makes me feel like a total bad-ss. Like I could take on the freaking world right now. Hahaha. I just want the best for her and I am trying to help her as much as I can but you can only do so much they have to learn the rest on their own. Skip likes working out and he likes the food I cook so I dont have a problem and my parents are just as healthy cause my mom has high cholesterol even though she is a size 2. lol. My mom is always ALWAYS reminding me of my goals (I think she worries about our heart health cause her dad died of a bad heart). Skip has NO PROBLEM saying babe you have been skipping the gym the last few days, or you know you shouldnt eat that. I wish I was as lucky as your son hahahhaa.

Heart attacks run in my family too, my grandfather on my dad's side died at the age of 53, and my dad had quadruple bypass surgery at the same age, and my mom has had breast cancer, she is a 15 year cancer survivor, thats what motivated me to get this involved in fitness, keep doing what your doing and we both will thank ourselves later in life!

Thats sad, its terrible when people die young. But hey 15 years cancer free thats awesome! My moms dad died in his 60s from heart disease and then my Dads mom has diabetes and she had breast cancer and they said her weight definately didn't help with her cancer. But she just had both breast removed. I like my chest so I would like to not get cancer. hahaha. Another reason I like starting these habits now is I want to be like my mom, almost 60 - looks like she is 45 and has a banging bod.
