If everyone just listened to CR then there would be like 6 cars on the road. They're a good read (I subscribe to their on-line version) but they're only one tool/opinion out of many.
Our dd's are a Ford and Lincoln so I think highly of Ford, but when it came to Mustang vs. Camaro I went with my heart. I refused to settle for anything less than the Camaro that I'd been craving since the first time I saw the Gen 5. |

It's simple: Camaro owners are the more rational species of drivers.

Still sucks to hear that, haha, but like I said before, I'm glad you made the switch.
![]() It's a fact that the mustang performs ever so slightly better. But I will always maintain that stock for stock, the camaro looks better by a long shot. Give me a 5.0 and 5 grand and i'll make it look better than a camaro. But that's 5 grand on top, and with 5 grand to my camaro, I could do wonderful things as well. Oh and one thing I have to give mustangs is that new saddle leather interior. I don't know if anyone has seen one in person, but I have, and it's incredible.

Simple. The Mustang's a better car all around. People buy the Camaro because it's sexier, but performance wise it's too heavy.
I think in years to come the Camaro will overtake the Mustang in the performance category. |

well it does get better mileage than the SS and consistently better acceleration with the right factory options.

Well if the rumors are true and the Camaro Dusk is coming out, then we'll have a nice version of that as well. I see a lot of the darker tan leather in high end luxury cars. It is pretty popular these days. Beige may be on its way out, or this new color is just a fad, who knows.

And it is becoming more common for regular cars by Chevy, Ford, and Chrysler to be stepping their interior quality, or at least looks, to that of luxury vehicles.

I test drove a GT before I test drove an SS. The GT was more agile, but too noisy when cruising. The Camaro is bulkier when turning, but rides nicely on the open road with very little engine noise. I chose the Camaro for the styling and the quieter ride.
Plus my wife looks hot when she drives it!!!! ![]()

If every automotive magazine chose the same car as the best, there eventually would only be a need for only one automotive magazine!..lol

I could actually care less about what Comumer reports say cause IMO their car testing sucks and if u noticed the list it has 5 toyotas on it yea unbiased sure ill believe that. They pick the best pickup as a chevy avalanche which is a good truck but i wouldnt really call it a real pickup with a 8ft bed. They like the Safe picks as in boring cars.

this ^ and I really don't get why everyone is surprised. the camaro's been out for what, 4 years now? Ford is a little ahead of the learning curve. Chevy will catch up. |

as for the camaro being heavier.. well with a perfect score in crash tests I will take the added weight any day. Does anyone know how the mustang did in crash tests?
