I'm sure I'll have a 1911 at some point...you'll have to help me decide which one.

Here's a pic of the one I got from you the other day, and we'll keep the other one (or two) for a surprise (for now).

My daily carry is the PM40. Awesome little gun and well suited for conceal carry. I would encourage anyone looking for a pocket carry pistol to look at the Kahr. And I guess now they have a less expensive version of the PM series. My understanding is that the internals are the same...just minor cosmetic differences to make the price a little lower.

Love the .40 caliber round. I chose the PM9 because I didn't have a 9mm. My .40 is the HK P2000SK.

The CM is definitely a good option, and the differences aren't that substantial.

CM or CW series are alot less expensive! CM is virtually the same weapon other than stmping instead of engraving and doesn't have the match barrel, which on this gun I don't think makes a difference. Its not like your going to be taking 20 yard shots with it

Way to validate my purchase!

Here are all the differences.

1) Conventional rifling in the barrel instead of match grade polygon rifling
2) Stamped logo instead of engraved
3) Pinned-in plastic front sight
4) One magazine instead of two
5) Injection molded slide stop lever (instead of machined)
6) Less machining on the slide assembly

I knew the CM was an option...sometimes I think I just have champagne taste (on a beer budget).

How do you manage 30 rnds and 22 rnds. Do you mags fit in the "box" at major matches. 170mm for big sticks and 140mm for all the others

I run Grams engineering and Dawson basepads and can only get 29 in my bigsticks 9mm major, and 20 in my 140mm 40 cal Brazos custom and still meet max mag length rules. My mags are SVI

I have a weld up 170mm mag from a gunsmith that has grams guts and a DP snl basepad that barely fits the gauge. As for the 140mm para mags,I use ISMI springs, factory followers and a DP basepad. All mags fit the gauge. I rarely fully load them to full capacity because it really hurts the springs and normally if the stage is that big there is always somewhere to reload.

Are you shooting the DoubleTap Championship this year, usually the 2nd largest pistol match in the country each year. The Doubletap Ranch is my home range and is 8 miles down the road. Only 6 members locally. Its nice to go practice and have 14 bays with all the equipment and no one else there. I am RO'ing stage 2 this year i believe. We have over 300 signed up so far for this years match.

I wish I could. I'm working 6-7days a week right now. I'll make it there one day.
