Give me a simple dpad and some buttons...I have GTA III on my iPhone and it's damned near unplayable.
I have the best of both worlds... Sony Xperia PLAY. Despite the dumb reviews by clueless iPhone fans the phone is great. There's over 250 games with support for the controls and they work great. Once the Vita is out the Playstation Suite will be available and you can buy PS1 games on it. As is you can use a whole host of emulators and play home and arcade games (including PS1) on your phone at full speed with full control. I am honestly NEVER bored now that I have it. It has games like battlefield 2, GTA III, Hot Pursuit, FIFA 12 (which is amazing).

Which is why I'm reluctant to get a Vita. I have a boatload of entertainment on that phone with games that cost me between $1 and $5. Its small, I always have it with me, and it works. I want a Vita, I really do, it outperforms the PLAY in every way, but I just can't justify buying it.

Understandable. I think that's a neat phone, but I'm done with Android. I hate Apple...but I do have an iPhone, which has never randomly restarted, frozen, closed applications, frozen, etc. I will probably keep with iPhone for the foreseeable future.

AAARRRRGGGGHHHHH!!!!
So you know those lucky sons of bitches who sometimes find the latest game (or system) at an unsuspecting retailer that manages to buy it before its actual street date?

I WAS ALMOST THAT GUY TODAY!!! DAMMIT!!! SO FRUSTRATED!!! Is this kicked in the balls feeling normal?

Thumbs up

I bought mine tonight after work the 250 dollar model and I only paid 175 as I had a 25 and 50 dollar gift cards from walmart from xmas just collecting dust on my desk. I am only playing some demos at the moment plan on getting at least 1 game friday or sat after work. I am loving it so far, I like that I can run Netflix on it when in a good wireless location like my house or the mall (that has wifi in the food court).

The screen is absolutely VIBRANT. I've never seen a screen this sharp. I picked up two titles, and I really like them both. I downloaded the Unit 13 Demo but haven't played it yet.
I had never played an Uncharted before and the first game I fired up was Golden Abyss. I played it for 20 minutes then popped in Wipeout for 30 minutes. Wipeout is gorgeous and really fun. I decided to pop back in Uncharted and it hasn't been out of my system since (about 2.5 hours of play total). I'm digging the whole experience. I'll pick up Escape Plan and Super Stardust this weekend.

LOL I know! It's like gamer sacrilidge to admit you've never played Uncharted. The problem with PS3 games is that they retain their value for longer, especially exclusives. The first one was more than $40 used for over a year. The second one is still in the $30 range used, and of course 3 is $50. I'll get to them one of these days...

I got My WIFI/3G model from Amazon yesterday. Ninja Gaiden and Stardust Delta are the only games I've played so far but I'm really liking it. The Facebook and Flickr apps work well.

Uncharted is excellent. I finished it Friday night (without ALL of the collectibles obviously).

The only thing I've remote-played is PS1. FF9 and Crash Bandicoot.
