It's probably for maintenance and yes that means changing a lighbulb. Used to work for American tower which is the biggest tower builder in the U.S. Was part of the Electrical dept. which went around changing light bulbs on towers. Amazing to climb a tower up to a 1000' just to change a light bulb.

Got my pucker factor on alert a few times just watching, that squirrely helmet cam makes it look even more dangerous. Alot of faith goes to the welder that placed the steps.

Thats one heck of a view. I thought climbing the 650' chimmney at work was high. The worst was the ladder rungs broke when I was 10' from the top. It's amazing how long it takes for ladder rungs to fall 640' to the ground. And we weren't even changing the light bulbs, we just had to wash the glass on the lights.

Your all a bunch of pansies!

I'd LOVE to have that job! Seriously. WOW!

...except when it rains. That's when I hide under the bed and curl up in the fetal position until the thunder stops.
No, really. :(
