I've owned 2 of the 85 GT's. LOVE those little cars. The first one I owned fell victim to a wreck. A drunk driver hit us & it was a total loss. The second one ended up being sold because I felt unsafe driving it and didn't have room to keep it parked. :(

Unhappy

yeah I miss my dad's Fiero, a 1988 Formula, red with tan interior, with a big sunroof that could store in a carrier inside the front trunk.

Here's mine with the new 17" wheels I put on 18 months ago:

I've finally been driving it recently. EGR trube cracked, yada yada.

Fortunately, my Camaro shop (APF) is right next door to my Fiero Shop (Whodeanie's). So when I pick up the Camaro, I'll be dropping off the Fiero.

Next up, I'll be doing the S-10 brake booster mod. Even with new slotted rotors and good pads, braking is such a joke it's almost dangerous. SO hopefully the S-10 booster will make it liveable. If not, then I'll be doing a 12" brake conversion.

Padre!!!! A lawnmower - I got one you can borrow. Hahaha!

Nice lookin' little ride you got there! It's great to see people still maintain Fiero's & give them good homes.

Yeah I love the little cars... I have a few Fieros, an 85GT, 86GT, 87GT & 88 Formula. The 87GT we just gave to our son for graduation. So I guess I don't have the 87GT anymore.

Always said to the wife would love to own another Red GT "Fastback" in mint condition like the 88 I saw and posted pix of. The last pic vaguely remember taking of it was with my prego wife beside it before having to trade in in on a "family" car. Someday going to look through the boxes of old pictures and find it. We just celebrated our daughter's 23rd birthday. Wow. Thanks guys for keeping the cars alive.

I recall back in the day when Pontiac considered dropping in the Buick 3.8 Turbo engine from the Grand National. GM Upper Management said this would never happen - something about it being faster than the Vette at that time and this would not happen to GM's flagship performance car. It would have been pretty quick for sure.

Way to funny.

Color: Laser met blue, it was on the Chevy equinox in like 05. I used PPG Deltron.

Back in like 1990 the wife was 7-8 months pregnant and I have a photo of her and her 1988 Yellow Fiero Formula plump as can be.. At the time we had a vette, Fiero & a bike living the California dream. Thought is was only fair to put all of our vehicles up for sale and the one that sold gets the new 4door.. Well all sold in a week for asking price. So we got 2 4doors. Our daughter is 22 this year.

Small world.

You don't think wheelbase would have been a huge limiting factor? Bad things happen with that much power and small wheelbases.

Working steady on the Fiero auto swap... The new 88 cradle and the 4T65E trans all painted and ready for install. The new stainless trans lines look great aswell as the PCS trans controller..

I had an 84 Fiero and an 88 Fiero Formula (V6). Both were fun but the Formula was a sweet ride with redesigned suspension and V6. Wish I had her back.

I hear ya... I love my Camaro but I also love my Fiero's (85gt, 86gt & 88 Formula) It's a different kind of love but it's still love.... Maybe even lust sometimes.
