exactly. they get those games down and we are easily the best in the league. Power play really stepped up and so has the penalty kill as well. that stats for this streak are incredible 87-31 goals for/against, 22.5% PP and like 86.5% PK

If they pick up one of the available snipers before the trade deadline it's game over. The wings haven't been doing this well with this much wiggle room in the cap for a long time.

IMO our D is fine for next year. Ian White is quickly becoming a fantastic defenseman, Lidstrom is a god, Kronwall is great and the rest are talented though need some development. If you are assuming Lidstrom is going to retire, here's a little hint:

He wants to play in the WC at the big house next year.

If we picked up a top scorer we'd be unstoppable. Mr. Ilitch's nephew is a close friend of mine and told me that Zach Parise is the name being tossed around the water cooler. We'll have to wait and see, but I'd bet we trade for a sniper or don't trade at all.

i was just talking to a friend on facebook about how much better he is than crosby. so many goaltenders keep their team in the game against us

Yep, I bet if you asked all the defenders and tendies in the league who they want to defend the least they'll mostly say Datsyuk. The All-Star draft pick speaks for itself. He makes everyone around him better when they're not standing there in awe at his hands.

yea for sure. ive seen him play a few times and its so crazy. on TV is one thing but in person he seems so much better. last season i saw him score a highlight reel goal against the blues. split 2 defenders, cut across the middle beat another defender, then owned Halak. i hope they can keep this streak going against the sharks. quite possible seeing how the sharks have played of late

i wonder who they are gonna try and get. i think ken kinda wanted Kubina but obviously not enough to make a decent offer. I dont know who else is really up for grabs
