I just got a Toshiba Thrive.
10.1 screen
HDMI port
USB port
mini USB port
SD slot
docking port
Droid 3.1
Capacitive screen
User serviceable battery

I got mine on woot.com for 279.00. They have offered it 3-4 times over the last few months
This tablet will do more than I need it for.
Biggest down side is that it is a little heavier/thicker than other tablets.

I can't wait for Google, I want one now.

Im looking at the around $100 7" ones, that have mostly the same specs as my android phone im happy with performance wise.
LG Optimus V android 2.2.2

Im actualy waiting for this guy to get some new tablets before I make up my mind, flsuperstore.com
said in a few days he will have 1.2hgz capacitive 7" for close to $100.
I like that he test, tunes and tweaks each one before sale and 1 year warranty. only raises the price $10-$20 over direct from china.

I was going to go with the ones with the VIA 8650 chip sets [brand doesn't seem to matter as much as chip set] and the 8650 chipset has allot of supports and customs roms and such to tweak it into a rocketship over at slatedroid.com admin of SD like the 8650 ones.

chip set seems to matter more then brand name, as they are all clones of each other.

I just can't wait for the new Google tabs n gotta get one to play with then give to the GF

If theres one piece of advice I can give you, YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR.

Do not buy a $100 7" tablet
Do not buy something with a resistive touch screen
Do not buy based only on specs
Definitely and absolutely do not buy that one from flsuperstore

Contrary to belief they are not all clones of eachother, and the quality varies tremendously even between tablets of the same specs. I've seen some that should "blow away" others that instead run like complete crap. You can do all the "testing, tuning, and tweaking" you want you aren't gonna change a pig to a cheetah.

How do I know this? I have a degree in CS and write Android programs on my spare time, my current primary tablet is a nook Color that I rooted and installed CM7 on. I keep trying to justify a more expensive one but the Color does what I need. I have had my hands on and messed with countless other tablets. The recurring theme, especially on the noname tablets is that no matter what they suck. They use crappy screens, cheap slow memory, etc. many come loaded with old versions of Android (2.2.2 is REALLY old) which aren't tablet optimized, don't run as fast, and even if you install CM7 it works, but its not perfect, it has a lot of shortcomings. Can you get them to work and quickly? Yes. But unless you really really want to get into screwing with stuff you are never gonna get the performance of a well designed first party tab. And when you realize you only saved like 100 bucks, you are just going to regret it.

I love my nook Color, as I said it does everything I want it to do. I have tweaked it to hell, its really good. But then I try some of these other tabs that came out at the same time or a bit after (including the original Samsung Galaxy Tab which is nearly identical by specs) and I realize that as good as it is, the Samsung still runs better, is still more compatible, and still requires less dicking around when I want it to "just work" sometimes.

Do yourself a favor and go to cnet.com and read the reviews of some tablets there. Then get yourself something good for a few more dollars like an Asus Transformer, Acer Iconia, Motorola Xoom, Sony Tablet S, Toshiba Thrive, Samsung Galaxy, etc. You will be infinitely happier than jerking around with one of those noname heaps.

Too bad they are impossible to get for under $230 (used, over $300 new). It was a great deal for those who nabbed a fire sale one, but these days the same amount of money can buy you a good name brand Honeycomb based tablet if you find the right deal.

Will not spend allot until google KF killers arrive.
You realize the KF is a low spec device. Everything out there is a KF killer right now, its just a really good simple device stock for $200.

All I can say with this one is good luck. 4GB of storage is very small (not much these days comes with less than 16gb), make sure you get a good Class 4 Micro SD. The ram is low for an ICS tablet as well (even less than the original galaxy tab, most these days have 1gb or more). And the Display resolution is really low (It can't play 1080p video on screen despite what it says, there aren't enough pixels on the screen, but many devices have this issue). This will work but will leave you wanting, certain games will lag or not play right, as new stuff comes out it won't work. Many games won't even play on it, and before long you'll be spending more on something you should have bought in the first place.

Kindle fire here. It's not apple, but for $199 it's well worth it. My kids live theirs. (we have 3) the touch sensitivity and accuracy are my only complaint. It's not as polished as my iPhone or my wife's iPad. Battery life is killer. Graphics and screen clarity are killer. Its actually clearer than our iPad2 observed from a side by side comparison.
