You think someone with a permit would have more common sense. My uncle who was a vietnam veteran said he treats every gun like its loaded, whether it really is or isn't.

You would not carry everywhere if you worked at the company I do. There would be no questions asked, your employment would be terminated immediately. Just sayin.

How does that work with the whole church and state being separated thing?

Concealed or hanging from your nose would be against company policy. The way jobs are these days you would have to be really gungho on carrying a gun.

Gun owner was totally at fault. At least in MI. it is illegal to carry in a church even if licensed. But even if you choose to carry to a place you can not, you never pull it out unless your life is in danger and you're willing to defend. You want to see how it works meet me at the range...not a church closet. There is a time and place for everything, ask yourself is this the time and the place!

I wasn't talking about you unless you were the one that shot the little girl in church. There's nothing funny about that at all. Sorry if I can't find any humor in a child being shot by a stupid mistake.

Hmm, you obviously dont know 'that' many CCL holders. I carry daily and there is always one locked and loaded, emphasis on locked. There is always one in the chamber so all I have to do is relase the safety with my thumg and pull the trigger. If I had to use my weapon and needed to slide the action, which requires 2 hands, level out, and fire, anyone else with an already loaded gun would have had more than ample time to take me out. If your friends are carrying with an empty chamber, please tell them to never take their weapon out. It's a sure way to get killed.

On a side note, any intelligent person would not be 'showing' soeon how to use a concealed weapon. That would make it NOT concealed. By taking his weapon out, he violated the law and as a result someone got hurt. This is why we do what the law says.

I did not throw that out there to suggest everyone should carry all the time, but I am in a position where I can and I do. That includes at church.
