I was told not to use my modded gun for carry because its then permediatated if I have to use it on someone. Looks like i was out looking for a fight.

This is why I strongly feel there should at LEAST be a hands-on safety training required before you can get your permit.

And as far as I was trained, the 4 safety rules are:

1. Treat every weapon as if it were loaded.
2. Never point your weapon at anything you do not intend to shoot.
3. Keep your finger straight and off the trigger until you intend to fire.
4. Keep your weapon on safe until you are ready to fire.

Though the other one : Be sure of your target and what is behind it - Definitely a good one to add to my list.

If not, He needs to have his gun taken!

You ALWAYS check the chamber and show the other person it is in fact empty before handing the gun over!

It's against the law here to have a gun on church grounds concealed carry or not.

yep it should be that way, range n target needs are so different then self defense.

Even more so in the home, where say a home defense gun like a CC gun is accessable all the time and ready to go, the trigger pull should be hard n firm and take a good 3/4 pull or more before it goes off to make sure its a deliberate shot as your probably only every going to use it but to shoot people.

even more so with kids in the house.

That would never fly in a higher court and no church in its right mind would back it.

Soon as you approve the Gov saying what you can or can't have in a church, the slippery slop will soon follow.

Should be a church by church basis, like no shoes no shirt no service at
7-11. Ban gun, kick out anyone caught with one. If they respect their church, they won't, if they don't, they don't need to be there. much easier.

Why here in Ohio you can carry in a State Park and do not have to tell a cop you have a gun if asked.

someone took it to a higher court.

If youre going to shoot out a round in church at least have the decency to use a silencer, people are praying.

Though I agree with the 4 rules, and rule number one will make this one sort of redundent...but...

1a) Always check to see if the chamber is loaded when you pick up the gun.

For me, this has always meant to eject the magazine/clip, eject cartridge even if there isn't one in the chamber) and look through the chamber to make sure it's empty.

THEN...EVEN IF IT'S EMPTY, RULE NUMBER 1 APPLIES...STILL TREAT IT LIKE IT'S LOADED.

someone took it to a higher court.
In most states it actually states that you can't carry in a public place where people congregate in large numbers ie, a church or theater. This way they can get around the separation of church and state thing because they aren't just targeting the church.

There is no such thing as a silencer. You are reffering to a suppressor.
