I'm not surprised you would say that.

And you shouldn't be.

Though, just in case you read it wrong -- it wasn't directed at you, in particular...I tried to step back and see the big picture. The thought you quoted became apparent to me when I did.

Ok, cool! It's just my opinion and if 99.99% of the people disagree with it., so be it.

I like the rugged SUV styling without being too boxy vs what others are coming out with these days. Glad it doesn't look like a Colorado with the SUV treatment.

You don't have to look far to understand what I am saying - the Terrain and Equinox share a boat load of common parts but exterior wise, look entirely different from one another. I think both products look like GMC and Chevrolet respectively.

With respect to the 2013 Acadia, go ahead and share the platform, electrical, drivetrain and suspension components but design the door skins and quarter skins to look different than the Saturn. At the minimum, give the quarter and fender flares the GMC squared highbrow design a la Terrain, Envoy and Sierra.

It all boils down to brand identity. If you feel you can take the "look" of one dated product and spin it as an all new "look" for another product of another brand, more power to you but updating the tail lights and throwing a new fascia and hood on it is not enough IMO.
Would you feel better if they had spent, I don't know ... how about a hundred million, on designing, engineering & tooling up a new set of parts for the refresh that look kinda the same as what was already on the defunct Saturn?

Does anyone here currently drive an Acadia? What year? Have you had any problems at all? I ask because this is probably my target CUV in a couple years.

I currently own a Denali. Had a 2009 1LT before that. No problems to speak of at 8500 miles. My wife drives it mostly and loves it.

By the way you left out the new Denali.

It is kind of growing on, interior is very nice, rear 3 qwuarter is definatly nice, that nose though. looks it got punched and has a swollen snout. The front of the Denali is at least tolerable though.

I hope you are right... my wife has an '11 Denali is GMC's version of CFM. I love the way the old style looks compared to this.

Yes... and we still love it. No problems at all. It's a good family car to complement the Camaro and my Truck.

Chevrolet Captiva Sport.
I saw one the other day too. My first thought, "oh, a Vue. WTF, is that a Chevy grille?" Thought it was from Canada or something. Who buys these for fleets? Rental car agencies?

Rentals, corporate fleets, those sort of things. Basically protects the resale value of the Equinox so that GM won't have to dump a bunch of those into fleet.
