They made it to the Super Bowl that year against the Packers in 97/98.

i know, that's why i liked him. hahaha

j/k. he did good in the playoffs when brady got hurt, then they benched him and started brady again. i also hate how they handled that whole situation.

It was still the right move. Just like replacing Farve with Rodgers. When its time, its time to pull the trigger. Its going to happen to Peyton Manning too.

i don't think it's the same situation. Favre was 100 years old, and he wanted to leave, but he wanted to go to the vikings, and of course GB wouldn't allow that. and Peyton is different because he's still got a neck problem and his contract is up.

Bledsoe was doing great in the playoffs. Still had at least 5 good years left. Hell, that year (2001) they gave him a 10 year/103mil contract. So they rewarded his good play in the playoffs (game winning drive against pitt to move onto the SB) for brady who was just getting back from injury.

It was interesting for sure. The thing about Brady that always had me dumbfounded was why he went in the 6th round of the draft? I'm a die-hard Michigan fan and even back then that dude could play, the bigger the game the better he was. I remember Michigan benching Drew Henson so many times for Brady and that guy was supposed to the second coming.
