If I'm not mistaken, chevy's first truck was built in 1918, while ford was 1925. So, so far, chevy has lasted longer. Lol

Are you a Ford fanboy?

As far as I am concerned, Ford should just keep their mouths shut and keep producing their beastly trucks. Chevy will never have anything close to competing with the SVT Raptor. It's one of a kind. The base F150 easily out does the 1500. I think it's just a down right, better truck. Better design, better performance, ect. Now, when it comes to the duallys, I would take a chevy over the ford, why? Design. I can't stand the Ford's dually front end design.

I think in order to be competitive, Chevy needs to seriously make an aggressive looking truck. Something that has power. Something much like the old SVT Lightning...or at least do something similar to the Raptor.
Pretty obvious the commercial hit a sour note for you. GM generally sells more trucks than Ford annually and anytime GM thought it was worth building a competitor for the SVT Raptor, I'm sure they would be very successful. With gas prices, I don't drive my truck for more than about 100 miles a month, but for 225,000 miles my Chevy Silverado has served me well and will continue to do so for that many more miles...even after the Mayan catastrophe.

Sounds like Ford is butthurt. Cant wait to see Ford's rebuttal commercial and watch them both start making fun of each other.

Ford ran several commercials after the fiasco with suttle comments about their lack of government bailout, but it didn't stir much concern from GM people. Within two years GM is once again the world's leader in vehicle production and sales. Ford borrowed billions as well, just didn't do it from the government. If it weren't for Mazda developed Ford products, Ford might have been in even worse shape. The other issue is Ford's loss of Mercury and it's struggling Lincoln (dolled up Taurus) line of cars. On C5, the obvious evidence of superior automobiles in every aspect of appeal to the consumer is Camaro's continuous trouncing of Mustang in sales. Now, that would make a great commercial.

That's funny that you brought that up. I do believe that Ford stopped airing that ad. Interesting.
